Divisions

 

Uniform Patrol Division

 

The patrol division consists of officers assigned to North/South zones.  Patrol units respond to calls for service, enforce traffic law, and patrol communities during a 12-hour rotation.

 

Criminal Investigations Division

 

 

The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for the follow-up investigations of crimes committed against persons and property in the city of Jefferson.

Training Division
 
The Training Division is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that all up-to-date mandatory law enforcement training is provided to all agency employees.  The Training Division schedules and conducts agency wide training, oversees all training records and coordinates and schedules personnel for attendance at outside training facilities.

 

 

K9 Unit

 

The Jefferson Police Department K-9 Unit specializes in drug interdiction and tracking.  They also participate in public relations events when requested.
