Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen

Must be 21 years of age

Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license

Possess a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)

Georgia P.O.S.T. certified police officer or police certification from another state

No felony convictions
-
Pass an extensive background history check

Pass a polygraph or voice stress analysis test

Pass a drug screen
-
Pass a medical and psychological exam
Benefits Include:

Take home patrol vehicle after completion of FTO period. Qualifying candidates must reside within a 25-mile radius of the city limits.
